Providing nutritious food to the poor and hungry of Greater Portland. Maine Area churches founded the Wayside over 20 years ago. Our volunteer base now includes churches, synagogues, businesses and other community groups. We have expanded our commitment from three meals per week to serving a quality mealevery night, 365 days a year.

America's Second Harvest is the nations largest domestic hunger relief organization. Through a network of over 200 food banks and food-rescue programs, we provide emergency food assistance to more than 23 million hungry Americans each year, eight million of whom are children.
